2016 DUCATI Diavel Carbon Review

Early in 2011, Ducati Diavel released something "wish list" of the bike, reflecting the engineering team of personal desires. Since then, the plant has been polished pet project, and 2016 represents the latest Diavel Carbon - the lightest - version, this unique-looking Italian power cruiser.

Design - Right off the bat, I have to say, this bike does not follow sports rides in any form stereotyped between formats very popular there. Built like a cheese wedge, Diavel Carbon is all in front, at least visually. Radiator cowl forward long and gently curved wedge point bump formation tank, and the rest of the bike tapered to a barely there subframe and seat. Set this model apart from the base model Diavel carbon body panels, giving it a more modern look, and aluminum blanks reduce overall weight while maintaining structural integrity. Saddle is quite extreme, but not show the depth of scoop, which is necessary to prevent uncontrolled assing bike from, you grab a lot, and twist!

Because of disgust, because I want to semantic quibble, I have to question the "power cruiser" category. Yes, you can use a more upright sitting position, but the quality is not necessarily sufficient in itself, so that gives the overall appearance of a cruiser bike, as well as 162 horsepower, inspired by the Testastretta Superbike factory. It's not a big deal, but for me, the word "cruiser" with a certain degree of influence, buyers interested in the power and the ornate may be delayed by this classification.

Chassis - rolling chassis trellis of bone formation, both to support and protect the engine, coupled with the body panels and it looks really cool place to sneak out under the airbox and intake scoop. Steering head angle and 24 mm, three trees to offset the merged balance turned 28 degrees rake and trail of 5.1 inches between the straight line and cornering stability. At 30.3 inches high, saddle fell all but the shortest range drivers, and can be conveniently accessed to the ground, may contribute to its popularity with the GAL riders.

Huge 50 mm inverted front fork over fainted, fully adjustable, with Ducati's DLC (DLC) coating, low friction operation. Sided, aluminum rocker ride at Goldman Sachs monoshock has a progressive linkage and remote pre-regulator. No automatic or dynamic suspension control, but it means "cruiser" after all, not a bike race. (Ⅰ submit some of its portfolio.)

Pirelli Diablo Rosso II hoops wrapped in 17-inch 10-spoke Marchesini rims, and proposed the construction of the way through the (unknown), the inclination angle of wet weather traction and sporty style grip. The rubber was big and fat, with 120/70 front and back two hundred forty forty-fifths, downtown viscous two very large contact patch, double-composite, reinforced patch technology (EPT) tires work together.

Brake take us into the first active driver safety system in this ride, with Bosch ABS brakes management; too many good things, "There are many reasons people dual-channel, four-pot Brembo monobloc brake calipers combined with 320 mm front brake discs. dual-piston calipers and Brembo 265 mm brake disc combination at the back. While ABS may not be able to shorten the stop, it certainly makes people more secure once the system detects slip and intervention.

Transmission - now a piece to resist, Testastretta 11 degree engine said, so named for the vicinity of 11 degrees on the valve overlap occurs stop, at the end of the exhaust stroke and the intake, in order to improve the exhaust gas cleaning start and cleaning fee. Double plug improve flame front propagation of the maximum power, and reduce emissions. In order to further reduce emissions, the fresh air induction free burn off any remaining hydrocarbon waste gas stream in the exhaust system.

The ride line (RBW) L- twin engine with liquid cooling, and the use of safety signs Ducati desmodromic valve system precisely control valve, even up to 10K RPM mark. With 1,198.4 cc for its use, the plant cranks the tight sphincter 162 ponies at 9250 rpm, 96.2 磅 - grunts feet at 8000 rpm. A lot of power, but do not be afraid, we are Italian engineers who must give us a collar beast. The collar comes in Ducati Traction Control (DTC) system, which reads the wheel speed, and to prevent loss of traction in the form of excessive acceleration by RBW system intervention. In addition, horse riding mode feature allows users to switch (even in flight) to select between the city, tourism and sports power curve, so you can use pre-condition map tame bike or your skill level, or set your own custom curve.

Slipper clutch used is "self-servo" Being on the power mechanism partially replace the clutch spring gently pull the lever, and active participation. Additionally, when you roll off the scrub some speed ahead of the curve, the clutch slipping a bit, in order to limit the reverse torque, and eliminate excessive engine braking traction loss.
